The Practical Stuff:
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you come to each session having absolutely no lotions, oils, or creams anywhere on your body.
I know it seems weird, but having anything on - even if you put it on in the morning or the night before - will hamper my ability to latch into your fascia and make the session much less productive.
What to wear
Women: Loose fitting sports bra or a tank top plus underwear. NO underwires, please.
Men: Tighty-Whitey style underwear. Stretchy boxer briefs are fine. Just please no old school cotton boxers.
Not a "relaxation massage"
This work is interactive and can be uncomfortable at times.
Please don't come expecting a check-out, relaxing bodywork experience.
Please do come prepared to participate and be fully present in your healing.
Do I need all 10?
Of course not!
I mean there's not like a law or anything.
I tease...while the full 10 sessions is the ultimate expression of this work, you will certainly feel enormous benefits from any number of sessions that work for your schedule and budget.
We will work together to build a therapy plan that suits your needs and goals!
Please note: If you do begin the 10 series it is important to complete the first three sessions. If you change your mind, you may stop after the first three without damaging your structure. However, if you go past three sessions you will do much more harm than good if you do not continue to the end.
If we are doing the 10 it's best not to go much more than about a week, two max, between sessions.
$235 per session
Sessions are goal-oriented rather that timed to the minute and usually take between
1.5 to 2 hours.
Please plan on the first couple of sessions taking 2 hours.
Each session will involve
work on the therapy table
as well as movement and postural retraining and related functional anatomy lessons to help you maintain the work done as you live your life.
24 hours notice is required to cancel a session.
Cancellation within 24 hours is subject to a $90 cancellation fee.
Payment is due IN FULL for missed sessions with less than two hours or no notice.
(because that's just not cool.)
At the end of each session we will train your new body to
learn new, more generative movement patterns, allowing you to better utilize and
maintain the work done.
If you've received the "Magic 10" sessions we ask you to wait several months before getting more work done - by me or any other modality (chiropractic, massage, PT, etc). Your body needs time to settle into its new normal. Good days and not so good days are a normal and necessary part of this reorganization process.
Just like your car needs regular tune-ups, so does your body. So I do a Maintenance 3 Series that I generally recommend folks get about 12-18 months after their 10 and then sort of once every year or two going forward.
We can also do individual touch up sessions as needed whenever you feel it is time (you'll know when it's "time").
